I'm getting a larger VDU for video editing as well as image and graphics manipulation. I will also use it for Word but definitely no games.

Is it worth me paying the extra for a 3840/2160 over a 2560/1440 in a 27" screen? Or to put it another way, 4K over QHD.

I'm after what I'm told is a budget VDU as I'm after something not much more than £300. Recommendations welcomed.

Can your Graphics card handle it?

What's your eyesite like? I have to run 125% scaling on a 27" 2560x1440 Dell as otherwise the text & icons are just a bit too small.

Thanks for the reply.

I've a decent GPU, a Radeon RX 570 with 8GB. I'm assured it can cope with either resolution.

With regards the my eyesight, I'm quite happy to up the magnification for word processing. For video, the editing suite I use, Power Director, I need a larger screen as if I have a few tracks open, I have to compress the rest.

I'll have a dual screen setup with a 24" 1960 display.

Wow, you're getting a self contained attitude control thruster block (Russian: ВДУ) on space station Mir? How did you manage to get hold of that? Is that even legal?
