I’m thinking of buying this today, stuck on i5 or Ryzen 5.
I’ve read everything on the internet, but for £20 difference?! I can’t decide.

The intel clocks a bit higher, both as base and boost clocks.
The Ryzen is Zen+ rather than Zen 2 based, so will have slightly worse IPC than the Intel.
Odds are pretty good the Intel will be a bit faster, so I'd jump that way.
If the Ryzen were Zen 2, I'd probably jump the other way.
