Vodafone fibre router help
Discussion
I've changed from EE fibre FTTC to Vodafone fibre FTTC today at 0500 whilst trying to work from home night shift. Got the router set up during the night ready but wasn't expecting it to switch till probably 1200.
Anyway my previous set up was BT master socket, splitter, cable into EE router (DSL port), Ethernet to Google Wifi
I'm now running BT master socket, splitter, cable into Vodafone router (DSL port), Ethernet to Google Wifi
A few years ago I did have an openreach modem which used to connect to BT hub via Ethernet but then I got a new BT hub and that did away with the Openreach modem, EE didn't need the Openreach modem either, presuming the Vodafone router doesn't either?
Anyway Google Wifi has reconnected all my devices as expected but... If I connect to the Vodafone SSID (named the same as the old EE SSID thats now unplugged) I get the "connected but no internet message on Linux and Android). Unfortunately I need the Vodafone SSID running as my printer wont connect to Google Wifi. The Vodafone SSID and Google Wifi SSID are completely different.

Its obviously connected, as my Google Wifi is taking the connection from it to allow me to type this, just not sure why if I connect to the Vodafone SSID I get the "connected but no internet" message.
Any thought's? also noticed its got the ability to run 4G and a phone system? anybody running them? I've only switched to Vodafone because we have had "Gigafast" cables put down by house recently and I was out of contract with EE, Vodafone will let me "upgrade" when Gigafast is available.

You won’t need the openreach model. That was from the days before routers had a vdsl modem built in.
I’m not familiar with google WiFi but if it works as an extender or router in its own right rather than as a switch or mesh then could you now have an IP address space conflict? E.g. EE was 192.168.0.0/24 with google 192.168.1.0/24 where as Vodafone seems to also be on 192.168.1.0/24.

Yeh didn't think I needed it.
Google is 192.168.1.61, basically if I didn't have an ancient printer I would turn the Vodafone SSID off completely.
Been on with Vodafone chat tonight, I work 1800-0600 and they didn't open till 0800. Basically it was because I didn't login to my account and tell them whether I want them to block porn or not haha.
