If I find animated GIFs on the net (free ones) how do I save them to import into Powerpoint as an animated GIF (if I can)?

They jut seem to save as static pictures

No one? Is it just that this isn't possible and animated gifs only work in web pages etc?

From my very limited experience, they only animate in Explorer (or presumably other web browsers) - but I stand to be corrected.

I simply save the animated gif via 'save image as...' and then in PowerPoint 'insert picture from file'.

The animation only shows when you are in slideshow mode though as the panel view is purely for composition.

Aaah, that may help. Haven't actually tried running the slideshow since I put it in. Will give that a try. Cheers
