I've used a website before which aggregates online maps from all the providers such as google or bing and allows you to switch between them, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called and my google skills are failing me.

Does anyone know the site I'm talking about and have the link to put me out of my misery? Thanks in advance!

Not the site I was thinking of, but it was along those lines (in how you could switch between sources). The old maps are interesting though!

Bump for the daytime people....

While searching I have also found this: https://zoom.earth which allows you to look at satellite images at different dates.

Might be impressive but it only shows pictures for current year. If I jump from Jan current year to Jan previous years (over Europe) I get same view for all. Same for other months.

Seems to change for me? There seems to be different availability of images depending on your level of zoom, but when zoomed out over a chunk of the UK it changes as I'd expect.

Probably depends on the available images for any given location, and the quality of those images. I was able to track images through 2012-2014, and then jump to an image in mid-2017.

I used to have loads of these where you compare bing, google, apple maos open street map all together but if just checked my bookmarks and they’ve all stopped working.

The NLS one is great but it’s mainly for historic comparison.

Probably not the one you were thinking of, but I just started playing with this one yesterday. It is more about making routes, but you can turn on and off lots of differnt map providers behind it. I've started using it to create route files I can export to my BMW car following BMW depricating their website for this.

Ah, I checked again and had nasa domain blocked on scripts side in my browser. After enabling that it changes as expected!

Cheers El stovey, that's what I was looking for (and possibly explains why I haven't been able to find one again so far...)

There is also this, that has a slider to replace the current map with a map from about 1900. So you can see how it really was all fields where your house is ...
