Netflix wont load on TV

My Sony did this after running a software update. Same with iPlayer. Just sacked it off and bought a Fire Stick when on promo for £20

I've previously had the same issue on my Samsung but with the Amazon Prime app, solution was that having the tv on I hold down the standby button on the remote until the TV reboots itself so goes into standby and comes back on, you will notice the TV lingers on the Samsung Smart TV logo screen slightly longer before coming on when you do it, this seems to reboot the TV and it solves the issue for me.

This and if that doesn’t work uninstall the app and reinstall it. The support for apps is dire after a couple of years

The app can be a bit flaky sometimes. I've got Sky Q throughout the house now and the app via Sky seems much more stable.
