I think I’ve decided on an Acer Spin 311 Chromeback as it would fulfill all the needs I have.
There are two versions available. One with an AMD A4 processor and one with a Celeron N4000.
The Celeron is £60 more expensive. My knowledge of processors amounts to what I find on google, which would suggest there is not much in it.
Am I missing something obvious?

The Spin 311 runs a 1366x768 display so either will be Ok for light use in reality. If you connect it to an external display running 1920x1080 both will slow noticeably. Similarly don't expect too much if you're going to load it up with work tasks. It'll be fine for light use though, and as an 'on-the-go' machine for tasks which aren't too taxing.

I was initially going for an Asus 434 but I've read so many reviews about build quality it put me off. Then I looked at an Acer Spin 13 which I can get for £499, but that's been out a while.
I've got up to £500 and want a 2 in 1 that can be used as a tablet, but really don't know which to go for.

Might be worth hanging on just a while as the Lenovo Flex 5 will be available soon, and has an i3.

Agreed. If that's the budget wait on the Flex 5 to reach the UK.
