Hoping someone can help me. Was using my camera today (Canon 77d) and for no obvious reason the card just stopped reading, the camera couldn't read it at all. The card is a Sandisk Ultra 64GB (SDXC 10).

It's only a year or so old and the photos on there are quite important to us.

I'm only basic computer literate. Tried the obvious, pulling it out and blowing on it. Put it in my cheap chromebook but that doesn't even register you've put it in.

I'm a bit stuck at this point. Hoping to get it in a card reader hooked upto a windows PC but I've not been able to do that yet.

This is the message on the camera.

I'd also recommend photorec - it's got me a lot of drinks when on holiday by recovering other peoples photos.

One thing to keep in mind - you must recover the files to another disk, not the SD card you're recovering from.

For deleted photos and videos from SD card or Camera Recovery I had used Stellar Photo Recovery software which help me to get back deleted/lost photos or videos.

No luck with those, it recognises that there's a card there but can't find any files or even that it has any memory.

I haven't formatted it yet so might try that next but feel that might be the nail in the coffin for retrieving any photos.

If you're at the point of throwing it in the bin, drop me a PM and pop it in the post to me and I'll see what I can do.

Give EaseUS Recovery Wizard a go - I find it will retrieve quite a bit.Don't download the 'current; version as it's full of limitations, download an older version such as this one: https://easeus-data-recovery-wizard.en.uptodown.co... as it still permits a full recovery (new one only does about 30% of the files unless you buy it).

Edited to say - I've just checked mine and it's actually the Pro version (PM me and I'll see if I can help you out - it's only 6.5Mb)

Received and responded smile Did you just shoot RAW with it or did you have it set to do both RAW and jpeg?
