My son has just bought an Ebuyer Alphasync PC for gaming.

We have poor wifi but you can usually make stuff work on it. However, this PC needs to be sat quite near the router to get decent signal.

Is this a fault? Or are some PCs just not great when picking up signal?

Does he have the wifi antenna screwed in? Possibly two of them?

I've always found WiFi cards to be quite poor, and had better luck with the usb alternative.

Neither are ideal for gaming.

You can get separate antenna which are wired as opposed to solid mounted, so can be placed higher up away from the case/other interference.

ETA - something like this....

We've also found this in the box, with no instructions. Does anyone know what it does please?

I am guessing “speaker” is a clue.

Miniature speaker to connect to the motherboard header (pins). Not used for much these days other than error (beep) codes at power on.
