Techie help on the Ford US website..restriction..
Discussion
The ford certified cars website in the US only allows searching for up to 500 miles from a zip code. Is there a way to search 'unlimited' or 'nationwide' on the website?
I am using the zipcode (NewYork) 10001
Deepest appreciation in advance

This works on Safari on Mac. I expect something similar will work on Chrome on all platforms:
1) Load the page
2) Bring up the developer console (Develop->Web Inspector: try F12 for Chrome on Windows)
3) Choose the Elements tab of the console
4) Choose the select element tool (the cross hairs on Safari)
5) Click on the dropdown: this will zoom to this in the source
6) Expand the elements to find the 500 miles item
7) Right click it and select edit
8) Change all the 500 to 5000
Now if you drop down the distance menu it will show 5000 rather than 500. Searching on that seems to work (I get a result from 1047 miles away)
Edit to add screenshot of the edit to the page and the search results from >500 miles
1) Load the page
2) Bring up the developer console (Develop->Web Inspector: try F12 for Chrome on Windows)

Can you not just use Google or Yelp to find other random post codes to put into the search?

OP - if you change the URL address parameter from Distance=500 to whatever you want, it will send it back to the server.
However if it is coded to only recognise the values that exist in the drop down, you won't get anythng back.
Whilst I could use different zipcodes but I need ALL cars nationwide so I will be sat on the website a while trying to get all cars listed
The change of value seems to work as when I use 500miles dropdown against zipcode 10001, around 5.5k results come up. However, changing the value to say 5000 miles brings back over 16k results!
