Will a Three Data only SIM work in a phone?
Discussion
I have a phone that I use for data only and the best deal is one of the 24GB SIM’s that last for 2 years data only sim from Three.
I remember reading that these will only work in data only devices and not a mobile phone. Anybody know if that’s true or will it work fine in an Android phone with data only?
Thanks

They do work fine in a phone - I have used them for several years in a dual sim Android phone, with this sim to provide the data and another sim for calls.I remember reading that these will only work in data only devices and not a mobile phone. However if you want you can make and receive calls on them (making calls to 0800 numbers works), and you should be able to top it up with credit and make calls on it if you want to - I have done so with one of these - https://3g.co.uk/three-data-reward-sim so can't see why it would be different. The costs seem to be the standard 3/2/1 PAYG price.
However... don't do a PAC transfer a number of any value to it, as I understand Three get a bit sniffy about allowing you to transfer it back out, claiming that as it is a data sim they don't have to allow it.
