Donations goal meter for website
Discussion
Wondering if anyone uses a donations goal meter on their blog or website and if so, which one? I use a stand alone donations button through Stripe on a couple of my sites and people do donate but they require regular prodding otherwise they stop
. A guy I know on Patreon sets a monthly target with a highly visible goal meter and does extremely well with it, exceeding his target by some margin each month. The problem is I don't want to use Patreon as the format doesn't really work for my content.
The ones I've looked at like Give have hefty platform fees on top of the usual transaction fees. I'm just looking for something simple to integrate into my wordpress sites, basically a donations meter for the month with, say, a £50 target and once the month is up it resets back to £0 to motivate people into setting up a small recurring monthly payment. I'm just looking at Donorbox which may fit the bill but it appears to be a single campaign fundraiser with a set goal, rather than a monthly goal.
Anyone have any experiences with this kind of thing?
