Three Mobile - hotspot dead
Discussion
If you're on Three mobile, what sort of issues have you had recently? I'm trying to figure out where the issue is with zero data transfer through the hotspot/tethering I usually have between my smartphone and laptop.
However I can't send from my laptop to my wireles printer either so I was wondering if the issue is just down to a congested channel, as suggested by OSX.
In addition I took the laptop + phone to a new location to see if I could get the hotspot working but again it wouldn't connect.
Do you think this is a Three issue?

I'm on Three for mobile broadband, and it's been OK, if a little slow recently. I'm having trouble with certain sites not opening up for what seems like ages, so I close the tab and click the link again and it comes up straight away - but that might not be anything to do with the connection, it might be an Edge thing. I'm having terrible trouble with eBay - not opening "My Ebay" properly, showing nothing in purchase history, not showing previous orders, and now not updating when I try to figure out whether a USB lamp is actually £2.83 or whether that's just for the charging cable.
I'm on them for the phone as well, and the only thing I've noticed is that since I switched from my old Nokia N95 to a LG 5x, it's more difficult to get a connection in the places I normally use the phone.

Sounds more like a handset issue. However I can't send from my laptop to my wireles printer either so I was wondering if the issue is just down to a congested channel, as suggested by OSX.

Been using my tethering hotspot all this week on 3 with no issue.

Nokia N95? I had one in 2007. Do they still work?
Apologies for the daily mail link, however seems to be true that older phones are better at dealing with a weak signal. Presumably due to their physical size they can have more effective antennas.https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.dailymail.co.uk...
Its a bit of a strange one, I can't print from the laptop over wifi but USB printing is OK. If I put the sim in other phones, they won't tether/create a hotspot (x2 old androids).
So it looks like a provider (Three Mobile) issue, or there's some sort of local issue blocking wifi traffic.
Any detective work I can do myself - and if so should I be looking at installing software on the laptop or the android?

Nokia N95? I had one in 2007. Do they still work?As it happens, the worst two spots are my shed, and at home, both of which are in poor signal areas generally.

I’m with 3 and the issue I have is inside my house too. Could be how my house Was built that’s the issue though. In work I’m getting a good reception and 4G speed.

I thought that’d be the issue, the browser side of things.

If I look at coverage maps for mobile broadband, all the others stop about two houses in any direction. Only Three lists any coverage here. It's almost as if there's a jammer under the house.I’m with 3 and the issue I have is inside my house too. Could be how my house Was built that’s the issue though.
