I use Yahoo Mail.

All of my contacts have gone (vanished, disappeared, no longer there) on Google Chrome, my preferred browser. I also sometimes use Firefox. The contacts thing still works fine on Firefox.

Any ideas, please, how to copy my contacts from Firefox to Chrome?

Wouldn't they be on your yahoo account?

It should not matter what web browser you use they don’t store your email contacts.
If using Chrome you login to yahoo.com, go to your emails, your contacts should be under the drop down menu at the top left.

In my case it's top right.

But the contacts aren't there.

If I use Firefox, they are there.

Using Chrome, there are no contacts listed under the 'Contacts' icon, nor when I start to send an email to Joe Bloggs does a list of suggested names and email addresses pop up.

If I use Firefox when I start to type jo.... a list of suggested people pops up.

I have used Yahoo Mail for several years and this is the first time it has happened.

Is there a Yahoo forum where i can post my query?

Do the following;

  • Open an Incognito window in Chrome.
  • Manually type in mail.yahoo.com in the URL bar.
  • Login to your Yahoo mail account.
  • Check your contacts.
  • Post back here what you found.

My Contacts are now back to normal. everything is working as it should.

I don't what was the cause of the problem, or why the problem has (for now, at least, touch wood) gone away.

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions.
