Apple emulator on Android

Anyone know whether it might be possible to run Waze for iOS in an Apple emulator on an Android phone (S10), such that I could get it to appear in Car Play in my M2C... no Android Auto support on these, which is annoying.

Won't work. If you really must have Waze, change your car or buy an iPhone.

Not 'must', but like it for the real time info it provides.

Worth asking and thanks for the reply although the car will be staying for a while and I'd rather shove wasps where the sun doesn't shine than buy an iPhone

Depending on the level of headunit you have, there are options to either get factory Carplay support or an aftermarket box.

Thanks; was aware of this and it seems a reasonable solution if compatible (not clear cut on this car I gather); also, BMW are getting very twitchy about warranties where accessories and mods are concerned. Hence looking for a (relatively) quick and dirty workaround.

Buy an old second hand iPhone and leave it permanently in the car just for Waze duties?

Sell the car and buy something decent. I didn't even think it was possible to have Carplay support with also having Android Auto - and vice versa. My 66 plate Ford Mondeo comes with both.

Bentley, Ferrari, Porsche and Tesla only offer Carplay and BMW were as well although they u-turned on that recently. I was looking at a 5 series and the lack of android auto made it a non-starter. Be interesting to understand what retrofit options may be available on current generations without it as it's "only software..."
