Hi
Can anyone recommend a very basic and easy to follow video editing software?

I.e something I can merge some action camera clips together, with perhaps some cutting, background music and captions?

I have looked online and I find it baffling!
Cheers

On the mobile, you cant beat InShot.
Super quick and easy to make edits. And on a Galaxy S9 it handles 1080 footage super fast, even exporting.
On PC there is no one product because it all dpends on what you get used to. The first stumbling point is knowing what you actually want to do with the footage.
The problem is every software has a different interface. You just have to try each one and see what you get on with.
Personally I use and love the Adobe world, but that means nothing unless you are going to spend money or crack the software.
But I would definitely give InShot a go. I was really surprised how fast and easy and comprehensive it is on a mobile.
I actually put together of video of the garden with about 30 clips way faster than I would have done it on Premiere.
