I’d like to add a third monitor for work duties, Zoom etc - my old HD6950 has two DVI ports so two is fine, are there any super cheap non-gaming graphics cards that I can just slot in, without needing extra power etc?

My motherboard has two PCI-e 16x slots so I guess any card will work

Have a look at the Nvidia GT 710.

You may need to look in the BIOS at how PCIe lames are allocated between the two X16 slots, as there may well not be 32 to go around

I use one of these, and it works brilliantly:

I'd try find a used GPU with support for more screens.

Just check on I/O coverage between screens and the GPU outputs.
