Mini USB to HDMI

Is it possible to connect a mini USB port to a TV via HDMI? I see there are adapters available on ebay and amazon for that sort of thing, but are they any good, and does Android know what to do with it if I was just to plug in an adapter and play some Netflix?

Cant help feel its probably more complicated than buying a £10 adapter...

You'll need to see if the phone is MHL compatible. My old S7 through to my S20 have all been able to use an USB to HDMI adaptor via mini USB or USB-C.

What phone is it?

Is there a way to check on the device itself? I have an old Lenovo tablet which I wanted to use, maybe unlikely if it was new technology when the S7 came out.

You should be able to look up the model online and see if it is compatible.
