All,

I am considering building a power supply for a new monitor.

Anyway - the power connector looks something like this:

Does anyone know what the name of this plug/connector is? And for bonus points, where I could buy one?

The official PSU is pretty big money (I already have one) and I have a high capacity 24v psu lying around at home, just need the connector!

Thanks!
Chris

In all my years in IT, I've never seen a D-Sub connector like that before.

However, Mouser list some that look pretty similar:

It's probably got the part number on it which you can search for. It looks like an Amphenol DW type which you can get from RS:

This may be the one:

The pins are a bit more difficult to identify; these are female solder pins in assorted wire sizes:

No guarantees, but at least they aren't hugely expensive to order. Beware you probably need a pin removal tool to get the pin out if you mess up & I'm having trouble finding that.

That's on a new monitor?
  1. why did you buy a monitor from North Korea?
  2. why are you building a power supply for a new monitor? If it's broken, send it back to KJU for a new one...

Molex by the look of it.
Farnell are showing stock https://uk.farnell.com/fct-a-molex-company/fm3w3s-...
You’ll need the back shell as well. Think it’s either a D9 or D15 shell.

Are you sure that's the power connector?

It's looks more like the graphics connector to me.
