Network printers and DHCP
Discussion
Just bought a network printer/scanner for home, an Epson XP-970 in case that matters. I have it basically set up but it's still using a DHCP IP from my router. I noted that my Windows 10 PC was able to find it automatically without having to be told the IP of the printer. I've no idea how smart these things are these days, if I just leave it on DHCP then will the PC always find the printer going forward, even if the printer gets a different IP? Maybe using uPNP or similar?
