HP customer support are useless, so I'm hoping someone on here might be able to help.... I have an HP Pavilion 13an1007na but its too small for home office use really.

I'm used to using 2 screens but having seen some ultra wide monitors I'm thinking that might be a good bet so I can have two programs open in front of me at the same time.

Problem is I have no idea and can't seem to find out if my laptop will run 2560x1080. Any help gratefully received.

Almost certainly..

https://support.hp.com/lv-en/document/c06543835 says the HDMI port is version 1.4

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Refresh_frequen... says 1.4 will support 2560 x 1440 (i.e. a higher resolution) at 75 Hz.

The CPU has Iris Plus G7 graphics, which according to https://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Iris-Plus-Grap... support "5K60" which is a 5K resolution (so much higher) display at 60 Hz.

Personally I'd look at at least a 2560 x 1440 rather than 2560 x 1080 - 1080 isn't actually that high, which is what makes the display look "Ultra Wide" proportionately. 2560 isn't actually that wide.
