Having just captured some great video on my Sony Ericcson K400i, and data-linked to my Sony Viao laptop, I can find the file I'm looking for, but cannot get it to play.

Would I be right in thinking I need some sort of player to access the 3gpp or mpeg4 files, so I can get them to play on the laptop?????

If so, can somebody point me towards a good 3gpp/mpeg4 player, preferrably a free one, but not to worry if it costs?
Thanks in advance.

If you are running windows, I think windows media player version 7 and up cater for MP4 files.

www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.aspx

If you already have it and it is not working for you then you can try getting the required codecs from

www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/format/codecdownload.aspx

Thanks for the links, did as you suggested, downloaded Windows Media Player 10, and the codecs, re-booted, but still no joy, still seeing exacty the same as above.
Any other ideas?

Can Quicktime handle these files?

Yes quicktime should play MP4 but alternatively you can download this

www.3ivx.com/download/windows.html

and it will then play it through WM Player.. did it just the other day.
