"Upgrade" HDD to a smaller SSD?

[21TonyK]

Got a rarely used Asus netbook with a 500GB HDD, want to give it a bit more poke with an SSD and really don't need 500GB. Can I stick a 250GB and use the crucial cloning software or does it need to be the same capacity?

No, you can clone onto a smaller SSD, although you will need to make sure the HDD used space is less than the size of the SSD of course.

Cheers, stuff ordered.
