We have recently had a couple of Ring Floodlight Cams installed. They are very good. We have however an issue. Due to the positioning of the rear camera, the light is triggered by the steam from the boiler flue. I can reduce the motion detector sensitivity (or set it to people only mode) so I don't get camera motion notifications from the steam, but it seems the light and the camera motion detector are separate beasts and there is no way of reducing the sensitivity of the PIR sensor (which I think is a dumb sensor - spots heat moving, triggers). It means with the central heating on, the light flashes on and off constantly.

Anyone know if there would be a way to sort this (other than moving either light or flue neither of which would be easy ...).

I dont know the answer ... but can you not divert the flow of steam from the flue with a simple shield?

Possibly, wasn't sure if there were building regulation sensitivities relating to flue length / obstructions etc.
