AirPods Pro as Microphone for iPhone video?

[A900ss]

Can you use AirPods Pro as the microphone for a video being recorded on an iPhone? From what I can see you can’t....

I plan on making a video and editing it in iMovie (no other software please) but I’ll be too far away for the phone mic to pick up my voice very well.

If AirPods won’t work, Is there any cheapish BT microphones that will work that I can pin to my shirt?

Thanks in advance for a video Luddite.
