Graphics card & new screen help please

If I bought something like a https://www.scan.co.uk/products/49-lg-49wl95c-w-5k...

i.e. 5120x1440 res

Would either a GeForce GTX980Ti or a AMD - FirePro Graphics Card W2100 - 2GB be able to drive it (my two desktop PCs have these respectively)

I'm driving two screens at 3840x2160 at the moment but want to swap out to one big screen.

Google suggest max resolution for either is 4096 x 2160 for 8,847,360 pixels.

That screen is 7,372,800.00 pixels, so fewer. It's likely to work. Why are you contemplating the swap?

The 2 existing screens seem rather better than what you want to replace them with.

Just to have one seamless screen. But as you say it’s a bit less so not sure if I’ll notice what I’ll lose on the vertical....
