What colour printer?
Discussion
Hi all, I am on the lookout for a colour printer. At the moment I have an old HP which is pretty obsolete and the ink cartridges are a quite unbelievable £40 now which is insane considering I think I paid around £60 for the printer originally.
The printer is mainly used for printing colour pictures at home onto photo paper. The HP has a separate drawer for 6x4 paper which is handy.
What printer am I best to go for that will be reliable and won't be crazy money for the cartridges?
Thanks,
Andrew

For photograph printing I use a Canon Selphy, a dye-sublimation printer.
For everything else a colour laser jet, in my case a HP one that was about £250. The combination gives far better documents and far better pictures than using an inkjet for both, and neither gets clogged or leaky nozzles if left unused, which is where all the money used to go previously, coming to print something after a couple of months to find that all five nearly new cartridges were kbackered.

I purchased HP Envy, which i’m very impressed with. Photos as well as other stuff.
But I have gone the ink subscription route
After a free 3 month trial, £1.99 a month for 50 pages. Other tariffs available !
They send new supersize cartridges just when the old one runs out.
No more buying expensive Original ink, or dodgy copies..
