Anyone know how to stop Apple Music from auto playing everytime I get into my car with my iPhones bluetooth turned on?

I could turn bluetooth off on my phone but then I can't play my Audible or Amazon Music stuff. Is it a 'car' thing, as it doesn't happen when connecting to music speakers in the home?

If I'm playing Audible via bluetooth, then ge tout of my car, when I return I fond Apple music auto plays. It's sending me mad!!!

Apparently, this is a thing and Apple does not make it easy to turn off. You can make an automation to pause when it connects though. In the shortcuts app, do this....

Thanks, just spent a few minutes head scratching and trying to do that, and I think I now have it set up. Off to my car now to see if it works.

When it says CarPlay, is this for when I jump in my car with bluetooth enabled, or just when I connect to my cars Apple CarPlay?

Not sure. I do have wireless carplay in my car but have no music on my phone.

Having said that, my car turns on music when you start it up even if you left the radio off when you left the car. The only work around is to put the volume to 0 when you leave the car. This is not limited to Bluetooth, this is anything.

Well Ive just ben experimenting and you may have solved this for me biggrin

Having set up that ^^^ automation..

I sat in my car, ignition on, and turned on my iPhones bluetooth and connected to my car.
Turned ignition off and left car.
Returned to my car with bluetooth still on my phone, and turned on ignition, Thankfully music didn't auto play.
So this may have just worked, time will tell but thanks so far smile
