I need a new PSU for an old Alphaserver DS10.

An original replacement is stupidly expensive so I need to hack up an ATX unit (as all the actual supplies are the same) but I need a through flow unit (ie not one with the fan on the top)

Anyone know of a suitable unit ? (or a drawing for a API0FS21 supply)

http://www.xanthos.se/~joachim/DS10_2.html

Seems to suggest generic ATX supplies are suitable with a bit of repinning, though the challenge seems to be finding one that has enough oomph.

This 700w is pretty close, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Win-Power-ATX-700L-700W...

Keep an eye on used ATX supplies, older ones tend to have the rearmount fan smile

ETA - The headline power for the original is only 300W, this has the original spec for each voltage https://www.datasheetarchive.com/pdf/download.php?...

Cheers for the info

Got a 500W ATX with a blow through fan on order.

Its slightly under on amps for the +5V but I am not going to be running the four internal hard drives the case can take and anyway modern drives would take less current than original.

Now, VMS or UNIX smile
