This is quite a niche question.

My little boy got a small air hockey table for his birthday, with the airflow powered by a 12v case cooling fan.

It’s not actually blowing enough air through to make the puck float properly, so I’d like to upgrade it, but am struggling to know what spec I need to buy,

I just received a 1W mains powered one, that I’d thought would do the job, but it’s even weaker than the one that’s on there.

I need something around 80mm square, no more than 5cm deep and with as much flow / pressure as is reasonably achievable; has anyone any idea what to look for?

Don't know what air volume you're moving currently, or need to move, but Noctua produce some really good PC cooling fans (with high airflow) but not sure how it would connect to a mains supply withough going through a PC power supply (although I've got an old Corsair CX430M PSU somewhere).

This for example has a flow rate of upto 50.6m³/h or 29.6CFM and is a 1W/12V fan.

How is the fan / table being powered?

Is the fan actually getting 12v or is it being powered by less?

Eight AA batteries. It may be that the Eneloop aren’t putting out enough, I suppose, so I’ll try Duracells, or a DC adaptor.

Thanks, I’ll order one of those, and just add it in series (I.e stacked on the existing one), if I can’t up the existing one enough.

If you put it in series, you'll need double the power, and stacking them won't give you double the airflow.

Yes, I’ll switch it to an adapter.
