RIP SlingBox

[mikef]

Just had the notification that SlingBox is discontinued from 9th November and totally switched off 2 years later

Less of an issue in these days of streaming but it’s been a total sanity saver watching my Sky box from hotels and homes around the world over many years. RIP

That is a real shame, it also saved my sanity when I was working overseas, I can remember sitting on a ship in the South Atlantic, on my way to Antartica, watching Sky TV via my Sling.

I still have mine somewhere, but I don't think it has been plugged in for a decade or more. As you say, streaming etc has really made it obsolete. Off to look what they are worth on eBay.
