LG Monitor OSD Locked and won't unlock

I have a fairly old LG D2342p monitor.

The OSD has locked.

Holding any menu button for 10-30 seconds doesn't unlock it.

You can press any menu button and OSD Locked is displayed. Keep holding it down and after 5-6 seconds the message clears but the OSD is still locked.

Anyone have any ideas?

Do you see “OSD LOCKED” when
you push MENU button?
You can secure the current control settings, so that they cannot be
inadvertently changed. You can unlock the OSD controls at any time
by pushing the MENU button for several seconds: the message “OSD
UNLOCKED” will appear.

If the suggestion above doesn't help then try disconnecting from the mains for an hour or so.

Looks like the pushbuttons are stuffed...

I had a look inside an there are some really cheap pcb mounted tactile switches. They aren't reading good on a DVM so I'm going to try replacing them.
