Help choosing Ram

I have a lenovo 330 ideapad laptop thats been randomly crashing and failing to boot. I have managed after a few days trying to get it to start up and completely wipe the laptop to see if that helps.
Did that fine but still switches off... and fails to boot was working well for a day .

I removed the Ram and switched it on and it loaded windows10 fine. So I'm thinking ram is bad.

A single 4gb ram stick at the moment, what specs do I need to match to get a upgrade I may aswell put 8gb in while I'm changing it.

Go to the Cruical website and let their tool scan your laptop. It will then tell you what you need. Their RAM is pretty good too, I'd just buy from there.
