1 of the cores is getting close to Tj Max.

What was it doing when core 1 got to 95C? If nothing, then yes, a worry...

I'd do a reboot, don't load anything and just run coretemp for 15 mins and see what it idles at.

On power up as soon as I opened the temp monitoring they all went up to 94 for a split seocnd.
Then all 4 cores shot up as I got a CC Cleaner alert to tell me it had scanned and could free up 5 GB. Even so, surely it shouldn't be getting this hot just idling with CC Cleaner running?

Doesn't seem right, no.

What happens if you load up the CPU?

Have you done driver updates?

Although laptops always run hotter than desktops, hitting 95 degrees isn't great particularly if it happens regularly. The clock frequency and voltages do seem high for a mobile CPU, which would directly translate into high core temps. I presume you haven't been messing around with any BIOS settings?

What happens to the clock frequency if you close down all the applications and just leave it idle?

How should load up the CPU, just have a few programs open etc or is there something I can download to test it?

Windows 10 and all drivers are up to date.

Airflow. Where is the laptop sitting? Propping it up from a flat surface can do wonders.

Are you sure they are "true" temps?

I've just installed Core Temp, & it's showing mine as 6degC!

Try this one - https://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

You don't need to installed it, just download the zip version.

Odd - that's saying 6decC too - Nevermind, ignore me! hehe

Laptop is sat on a cool desk in a temp controlled room (20 degrees) no obstructions either side. The below image is from the last 45 mins, sat on my desk just with core temp open. I have deleted CC Cleaner and Malware bytes as that was always running in my task manager.
