Why only those? And what prices?

I had a 3 series which was fine, but now have a 5 which is better at getting longer/more awkward hairs.

Seem good reviews but if there is better am opened to suggestions. Series 3 is £40 and series 9 is £170 both on Black Friday deals . A will happily pay for the series 9 if it’s worth it .

I've had the 9 series for the past 3 years. It has been the only shaver I've persevered with. Can't compare it to the 3 though as I'm not familiar with it.

Convenient charging and cleaning station too.

The series 5 is £60 and worth it imo over the 3. Not convinced about an extra £100 for the 9 even if it is reduced from "£499"! There's also the price of replacement foils which is double for the 9 at £50 albeit only every 18 months.

To be honest, a review I read a while ago did say the 5 series is just as good as the 9. The 5 was recommended given the price.

I have both a series 3 and 9

If I don’t shave for two or 3 days the difference is very noticeable.

The 3 will take about 4 times longer to do the job.

The 9 is excellent, best shaver I’ve ever owned.

I have a series 5 Braun that I bought when it was first launched in the UK. Maybe 2000-ish. It is still going strong although battery now a bit tired;)

It is a great shaver which tackles a 3 day beard easily and gives a pretty close shave too. New foil and cutter every year or so.

It was pricey at the time but is probably the best value small electrical item I have ever bought.

I have a 3 but not a 9 so I cannot directly compare.

From a marketing perspective, the "top of the range" product is not usually better than the middle model. It is there to boost sales of the middle one by making it look better value.

The 3 is pretty good for the money, in truth.

Forgot to say, battery life on the 3 is just a few days, maybe a week at a push. The 9 will easily do 3 weeks.

Sticks.

That doesn't sound right. My 3 is now 2 years old and lasts 3 weeks. 4 weeks when I first got it.

Same. I've forgotten how old my 3 series is and it lasts 2 or 3 weeks.

I have used exclusively Braun since I started shaving and have used a few different ones over the years. Series 3 is OK but can be hard work with a few days growth. I would recommend my current Series 7 as the best I have used over the years www.shavers.co.uk/braun-7893ps-series-7-wet-dry-me... Cannot advise on Series 9 or if the extra ££ is worth it as have not tried.

Fair point, looks like mine is a bit dodgy.

It’s only my knock about one if I’m away or such, so not overly bothered - it was £20 on offer in Sainsbury.

I've still got a brand new unused Pulsonic that I bought donkeys years ago, that I keep meaning but failing to eBay.

Had another one exactly the same and when I used to shave it was far better than the equivalently priced Philishaves. From memory, the top end Panasonics are also excellent.
