FB notifications not taking you to the post?

Is anyone else struggling with this?
I get a notification telling me someone has responded to a message in one of the groups I am in, but when I click on it, i just get sent to the group and not the post.
And then of course, due to the way FB algorithms work, the post itself seems to have vanished even if i scroll for half an hour..
This is on my Windows 10 PC. I Don't seem to have the same problem with the FB app on my aging iPad (just one of the reasons why I have not upgraded it...)
Anyone else having these issues or know how to fix it?

This happens to me all the time on mobile, most annoyingly when someone replies to a comment. I agree, FB is just utter w
k and it's doing the same for me too. It's also repeating posts as I scroll down.
I'm also fed up with it flagging up a 'new post from XYZ' when it was posted 3 days ago.
As soon as I read another tab it tries to get me back with a new notification, attention seeking bds.
They know what they're doing.....

its st, however its working exwctly how they intended. the algorithms arent setnup for us normal older folk but youths who are all into insta, infueencers, internet fame etc who have very short attention spans so hence why everything is focussed on top posts or most relevent rsther than how us normal people would want to use it. you will notife over recent updates they make it harder to set up the way you want. it defaults back to its own settings.
eg it used to remember my preference
for recent on feeds. now it will not do so and everytime you log in you have to redo it. also now refuses to stay in desktop mode on my phone. i dont have some poor people phone so have abig screen which is optimised and best viewed in desktop mode, so why would i want the heavily cut back mobile version? or app for that matter?
i guess most of us on here are not thier targetted customer base.

There is definitely something to be said for using hardware that is incompatible with the latest version of some of these apps!.
I play a lot of 'words with friends' and on my 'new' iPhone it is so bloated with adverts and new 'features' that I only ever play on my phone if I absolutely have too.
30 second ads after each move? No thanks.

t experience regardless of your expectations. I could be wrong, but I assume it must work off the user agent for your device's browser, which will declare it to be Android or iOS and therefore cause that version of the website to load. That said, the desktop website is equally appalling these days.I can't stand Facebook but it's extremely useful for car stuff, between owners' clubs migrating from forums and marketplace listings.
If you put a comment on a post and someone likes it if you click on, it will send you too it however a reply will just send you to the main post. Its st makes it really hard to follow up replies specially in a post with tons of replies. Since the changes recently its been crap I hardly use it now.

If I go onto Lexulous, the original blue and white format appears and the notifications appear.
Facebook is now rubbish if you want to find anything ever again.
Downloaded FB Purity on the Pc and it gets shot of the ads but not available on the Android phone when it is at its most annoying.

They do it so you look at it for longer. It makes them more money from sponsored posts.
The above post recommending you delete Facebook is the best option.
You can’t justify it as good for keeping in touch with friends anymore. The hidden and repeated posts means it is no good for that. So what is it good for? Nothing...
