NowTV fibre broadband
Discussion
My BT contract just ended, and I didn't want to be tied for another 2 years as Hyperoptic installation is being planned in my development.
Shortest contract I could find was 12 months with TVNow at 24pm for a 67mbps connection https://www.nowtv.com/broadband
Jumped on it and then started reading reviews which seem pretty negative generally.
Any of you using them, and how do you find the speed, customer service etc?

I was with them at my old house.
NowTV is just sky. Even the router was identical to the sky router, just a NowTV logo.
Speeds are the same no matter what provider and based on price plan.
I had zero issues with them and was a customer for a couple of years (FTTC).
I didn’t have any issues as it just worked and was stable. Service is provided by one of the sky call centres so predominantly U.K. based.

Using it here for the last 11 months with no problem, no cause to call customer services so can't comment on that. Sky is listed as a LLU operator on the exchange so may actually use some non-Openreach infrastructure. Picked because cheap and el-cheapo calls to US on landline.
Speed is OK on slower Fibre contract but then no kids; faster fibre on previous BT wasn't much different.Max 60Mbps here.

And if you've been with BT, any other customer service can't be as s
t as them, almost anyone would be better. My only problem is upload speed - I do a lot of film editing and often need to upload files of around 5gb - takes ages now that I work from home and stuck with 10mbps upload speed. Full fibre installation can't come quick enough!

Never had a single issue during the 24-month contract with BT, so hoping this will continue with NowTV.

I got Hyperoptic a couple of months ago, the speed is amazing and upload is just as quick as download My only problem is upload speed - I do a lot of film editing and often need to upload files of around 5gb - takes ages now that I work from home and stuck with 10mbps upload speed. I had NowBB, only for a year as they wouldn't do a deal on renewal. It was fine, good speeds and reliable. They'll keep trying to flog you Now TV packages, cheap offers for stuff. I didn't want any of them, maybe that's why they weren't keen to keep me on after a year.
As others have said, it's Sky's streaming service, hub is the same.
