Sons moved into temporary accommodation, and needs internet for his Xbox etc, no landline, and no intention of paying for one.
What's the options regarding getting internet into his room (bedsit amongst many in large house) , suspect would need to enter into a contract of some sort, 12 month etc, but aside from that I'm clueless, as I'm used to having phone lines and routers to achieve the desired result.

Do a deal with someone else in the house who has a wired connection.
Unless he has 5G, I suspect he will find mobile latency painful for gaming.
I have actually been OK with 4G and gaming, latency isn't too bad. It's when you get big 30 odd gb updates, on top of standard monthly usage, that I have used to worry with the monthly limits. Unless he has 5G, I suspect he will find mobile latency painful for gaming.
