Wifi card different antenna ?

Is it possible to buy a different antenna for a PCIE wifi card to improve signal?

PC in old room got full signal and max speed but in new room its getting 3 bars and dropping to 150mbps.

Also considering home plugs as well but a better antenna seams the cheaper option.

Depends if the card has detachable antennas or not, if they screw off then yes you can.

Yes they screw off. Is there anything specific i need to look for when buying?

When the antennas screw directly onto the back of the wifi card they tend to use the bigger size connectors, if you search amazon for wifi antennas you will see many of them have a similar looking screw connector to your existing ones.
