XBox game not working/loading

Hi, I bought an XBox for for my child with several games. Loaded them all onto the machine (as far as I can tell it has enough space - 700gb) a few days ago. Then today he received another game that he likes, put the disc in and did all the password stuff and loaded it, but oddly it seemed to load very quickly but then stopped at 81% and won't go any further. I tried cancelling and uninstalling the game but still says it's installing it. Took the disc out and checked for any scratches which there wasn't any I could do. I then tried one of the other games that I know was working yesterday which was already loaded onto the machine, but then clicking on it nothing happens it just went back to the main menu.

Anyone know what's gone wrong?.

Have you tried turning the xbox off and unplugging it, leaving it for a couple of minutes and then starting up again? Sometimes it can get stuck in a loop

It's the new Paw Patrol game.

I unplugged it (though I forgot to put the disc back in). Waited about 15 mins, switched it on. I then uninstalled the game and put the game back in the machine and loaded it, which this time seemed to load all the way through. But now I tried to play the game and nothing happens it just goes back the cancel game screen. I then took the disc out and put in another game that I know was previously working, but now that game won't even play. No idea what I've done as all I did was load the game. Looks like something's malfunctioned.

If you’re connecting via Wi-fi maybe try an Ethernet cable - it’s worked for me in the past when loading games get stuck
