Getting my OBD reader to talk to PC
Discussion
Hi.
I have a reasonably techy background, but was wondering whether anyone can shine some light.
I bought an OPD2 to USB lead with the intention of running the Toyota Techstream software
The laptop i had planned to use is more than 10 years old, was running linux and the battery didnt work, so not good on the driveway.
So i bought a used £35 Windows 10 tablet from CEX.
Ive got the Techstream software working on the tablet.
But the Software wont connect to the car.
Any ideas?
Do i need to install the lead as a piece of hardware and find drivers for it?
I didnt get much time to devote to it over Christmas but am planning on having a look on Tuesday, but any pointers would be great as im sure its something simple.
Thanks
