Hi there,

I'd be very grateful if someone could help... having tried to resolve my predicament over the holiday I now urgently need this sorting out. I can neither open nor add attachments to emails in Outlook 365. I can't download them, print them (I just get a line of gobbledegook - {"Body": {"ErrorCode": 500, "ExceptionName": "OwaHipRequiredException", "FaultMessage": "HipRedirectStartUpVerdict = LowCostHipRequired", "IsTransient": false, "ResponseCode": "ErrorInternalServerError"}}

I did a Windows update recently (I'm Win 7 Pro 64 bit), and things haven't been right since. I've scanned the internet and the problem seems well documented, but a number of the remedies are beyond the abilities of my layman's abilities.

Thanks for any help... .

Not looked up what that error means but could you try the following:

1. Try a different browser (Firefox or Chrome)
2. Open on a different PC or on a mobile phone?
3. Open an Incognito or InPrivate Window

Let me know how you get on?

Tried Firefox, couldn't open/download any pdf attachments in Outlook

My Android phone opens the attachments which is handy, but not a workable solution unfortunately.

Opened Outlook through Chrome incognito - wouldn't open/download a pdf attachment.

Any ideas?

What happens if you use Private Window in Firefox?

Could you try installing Opera browser and see if you get the same result?

Windows 7 support ended a year ago. Are they really still doing updates for it?

Is it only PDF attachments you are having trouble with?

Can you open other format files that are attachments?

Use a supported version of Windows.

Can you provide links to any of these pages that describe the issue?

I'm wondering whether the W7 update referred to was fake, or perhaps Microsoft have updated it to block attachments due to security vulnerabilities?
