Very Slow Vodafone Broadband
Discussion
Recently moved to a new house, and there was no "3" phone signal
So had to change providers.
As Vodafone have a mast just 400 meters away, we get great Vodafone phone usage, and mobile data.
When we recently moved house, we had to leave our BB supplier, (Virgin) as they didn't have cable in this new area.
So, opted for Vodafone, through the phone line.
We were promised 63 Meg, and so paid for that service. That was in September 2020.
I complained a month later, that we are only getting 19 Meg, from 3 - 4 broadband test sites.
The guy in the shop said, wait another month, as they will be "Optimising the line"
Nothing has improved.
I have tried to call Vodafone, but cant get through.
What should I do ?
I feel cheated into paying for 63 Meg, and getting just 19 Meg.
I would be happy if we just got half ! ! !

What speed does it show if you login to the router?
Login at 192.168.1.1
( password is normally written on the router if you havent changed it )
then on the overview tab ( i know they have a couple of models .. but i think the gui is the same ) what is the speed shown on the vdsl line.?
Then if you click on the vdsl icon - it takes you to DSL status which will show bitrate/snr/crc this might give a clue.
( and if you have the separate dsl filter that came with the router .. plug it direct in the test port on the phone line ... it will disconnect any hardwired extensions - but it might be a builti-n faceplate filter that's faulty)
