Shortcuts

I'm trying to open Autocad via the shortcut on my desktop , the egg timer thing comes on for about 5 secs , then goes off. No error messages and no Autocad.

I've tried right clicking and click open , Ive gone to start , all programs , and I've clicked the exe file , all to no avail.

Whats gone wrong ? The very least I would expect would be " cannot find target" or something. :confused:

What version of windows you running?

Have you checked to see if the exe is running using task manager?, this is one of windows favorite games to have a copy running somewhere in the background and then when you try to run it, it just sits there.

Have you reboot the machine?.

Running XP Pro , SP2 , yes checked task manager , nothing there.

Oops , reboot seemrd to work , I never think of that

Funnily enough , when I tried to close it down , Autocad was partially running (the text window) but it defo wasn't in task manager
