My home hub is indoors and outside is my garage where i would like to have a video call without it pausing/jittering. Could the PH community recommend me a device I can plug in to a socket in the garage to boost the signal?

Many thanks
Cad

Anyone? There seems to be a myriad of types on offer and I don't want to get the wrong one. Rather buy on recommendation smile

BT homehub? Can you see if moaning at BT can get you one or more than one of their magic disk things?

Possibly not if the OP is looking to make a video call on a smartphone, as this unit doesn’t have WiFi.

The WiFi version of this may work ok and I was until recently using it to successfully provide WiFi in a summerhouse.

I did recently replace it with a Deco M5 mesh system, not because there was anything wrong with the powerline adapters, but because I needed better coverage upstairs as the wife is working from home.

Thanks for the rec. Yes that looks like a decent solution. Reviews are pretty good on Amazon too (shame they're out of stock). I'll pop in to Argos after work tomorrow thumbup

Easy to install and works well through the house.

Much better than this
