Been slumming it with a cheapo Ikea desk since the start of the first lockdown. It used to be my kids' art desk so is covered in paint, glue and sticky tape. Not ideal, and as it has to sit in my bedroom (my wife has the dedicated office upstairs rolleyesbiggrin) it's ugly and messy to look at.

I want to replace it with a desk that is slightly more professional, and am imagining something like a professional/semi-professional modular desk system which has multiple desk sizes, finishes, different leg/height adjustment solutions, and options for built-in cable management, power/USB/network distribution, and compatible monitor stands so I don't have to screw big clamps onto it.

Work have offered a stipend for home office improvements which will cover some of the cost, but It seems that increased WFH isn't going away so I'm happy to sink a decent amount into the right desk.

Does such a system exist?

Have you thought about getting a sit/stand desk? We got a couple from Go Stand just before Christmas. Expensive but solidly built and well worth the money. Just the press of a button to change the height - still makes me grin biggrin

Also interested in this as my current desk is an offcut of kitchen worktop with some cheapo Amazon legs - functional but not pleasing!

I have a motorised desk at work. Never use it. Sit down is fine.

A motorised desk ? Can you drive it round the office ? I'd like one of those !
