No doubt a complete computer numpty question but....
Plugged a new mouse into the computer last night, installed the software, the mouse works fine :) but.....
I go to switch the thing off, and the off button has now turned into a restart button, even though it's still looking like the off button :scratchchin:
Everythings working fine I just can't switch the thing off without pressing the big button on the CPU, what have I done and how do I get it back to how it was, idealy keeping the new mouse as it's loads better than the old one

Which 'off' button are you referring to?

Have you tried holding the off button in for a few seconds, this normally turns it off?

Just standard windows xp home
Probably wasn't very clear to start with, when I said 'off button' I mean the off icon on the screen, it shows a standby/off/restart window, the standby icon was shaded, and the off icon just did a restart
I've uninstalled the mouse software and this has fixed it, and the mouse still appears to work
It's nothing special just a Logitech MouseMan Wheel (according to the underside of it)
