I have been very fond of my Samsung Galaxy S8 since i have had it and it has been through thick and thin with me. I use the torch to illuminate areas under the car and it has suffered. The glass screen has broken, but not the display itself.

I asked around and to replace the glass is over £100, so new phone i thought. The S10 Galaxy is still over £250 and the S20 FE 5G is over £700 with the S21 over £1100.

Where might i find a new/as new S8, or S10? I want to spend no more than £300. I love the samsung camera which is really strong, but might also consider a One Plus phone. What would the equivalent be to a S10?

Many thanks

I'd suggest that you just replace the screen for £100. For all you know a 'nearly new' phone may have also had the screen replaced!

The A71 is a nice phone and last year was the best mid range phone. Large battery too.
Contract is less than £20pm
The other half has one and am impressed.
If you were happy with an S8, you dont need anything near a flagship phone these days.

I switched from Samsung to a Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 - expecting it to be a bit rubbish. Can't find fault with it. £139 for 48Mpix camera phone.

If you send off to Samsung's official repair people you'll get a new screen and a new battery at the same time for about £200.

wefix - they come to your house. Sit in their van and fit a new screen. I think you can get a quote online for the work required. I believe they are an 'official' screen repair service for Samsung + Apple.

If you check the items, add to basket but don't purchase and wait for 1 hour they usually send you a % off code.

I think an indicative price from them is £229 (before discount code)
