Have just acquired one of these thingies (actually I have acquired 2) and get blistering speeds when connected via the WiFi in the unit itself or, indeed, if I connect a laptop directly to one of the LAN ports on the back of the thing. Oddly enough though, as soon as I introduce a switch into the equation things go west rapidly.

For example, using ookla speedtest:

WiFi Connected to 5G box results in above 300mbps

Laptop Connected directly to 5G box LAN port results in over 300mbps

Laptop Connected to 5G box via WiFi through Cisco AP with PoE injector results in circa 93mbps (suspect PoE injector is limited to 100mbps as Gig port on AP is running at 100mbps)

Laptop Connected to 5G box via WiFi through same Cisco AP connected via Netgear 8 port Managed Gigabit PoE switch to LAN port of 5G box results 58-63 mbps (AP Gig port connected at 1Gig Full Duplex as is switch port to 5G box)

Laptop Connected to 5G box via WiFi through another Cisco AP connected via different Netgear 5 port Unmanaged 10/100 PoE switch to LAN port of 5G box results 58-63 mbps (AP Gig port connected at 100mbps Full Duplex as is switch port to 5G box)

Laptop Connected to 5G box via Netgear 8 port Gigabit PoE Managed switch to LAN port on 5G box results in 27mbps!!!!!

Laptop Connected to 5G box via ZyXEL 24 port Gigabit PoE Managed Switch to LAN port on 5G box results in 29mbps

Laptop Connected to 5G box via Cisco 3750 V2 48 port 10/100 PoE Managed switch to LAN port on 5G box results in 95mbps????

So thinks me, "Likes Cisco?"

Ok, tried Laptop connected to Gig port in Cisco 1921 EHWIC-4 and 5G box connected to the port next to it, both port register as 1Gig Full Result?????

24Mbps!!!!! Aaaargh!

WTF? Anyone any ideas?

Is it one of those?

That's a complicated unit.

That it is hehe

Anyway, problem solved, added a few TP-Link Deco Mesh devices around the house hooked up to the 3 box and life is golden. My Oookla speedtest from my desktop on which I am typing this now looks like this rofl
