Help required for a Dummy, please?

How do I adjust the volume on this monitor? I have the online user manual, page 15 (I think) tells me how to adjust the volume. But how? Move those little triangular things - but how?

There are little buttons under the bezel, you should be able to feel them if you run your finger under the bezel where indicated below:

Yes, I have been fiddling with those buttons for a little while. I can get 'volume' to come up on the screen, it shows as '50', whatever that means, but nothing seems to change it. Would it be controlled via the keyboard?

I don't think via the keyboard - can you get the volume display up, then press the "i" button to make it "live" and then the up/down buttons ?
